According to Ilna’s report from the Ministry of Energy, Behrouz Ahmadi Hadid, director of electricity market development and coordination with the energy exchange, said: From the beginning of the launch of green transactions in the energy exchange, measures were taken to enter the electricity retail companies into the green board and allocate the purchased electricity to their contract customers.

In the first step, the Vice President of Iran’s Electricity Market designed and implemented the necessary plans to enable the allocation of electricity purchased by retail companies in the “Trading System outside the Iranian Electricity Market” on the portal of the Network Management Company, and with the coordination made with the Energy Exchange , Satba and other stakeholders, on October 23, 1402, permission was issued for the presence of retail companies in the green table.

He continued: The first green electricity deal was completed and finalized on October 24 by a retail company for 7200 kilowatt hours. On the 25th of Mehr, in addition to the above company, another retail company purchased renewable electricity from the green electricity board of Bors Energy, which totaled 539 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity in the last two days by the retail companies in the green board of the exchange. Energy was exchanged.

Referring to the amount of electricity purchased, Ahmadi Hadid added: Based on the planning, the aforementioned retail companies can allocate the amount of electricity they purchased to their contracted consumers at the designated times in the off-market trading system of the network management company. The information of these consumers is also sent to the grid owning companies through the electricity market systems so that the electricity consumed by the consumers can be applied to the bills.

The director of electricity market development and coordination with the energy exchange stated: It is hoped that with the entry of retail companies into green electricity transactions, the development of transactions in this market and its deepening will be significantly helped, because on the one hand, these companies can cover the risk of consumption fluctuations by aggregating the consumption needs of electricity customers, and on the other hand, According to their high expertise and experience in the electricity trading space, help to discover competitive prices in the market.

Ahmadi continued: In addition, before the issuance of the license for the presence of retail companies in the green panel, the subscribers of their contract, who purchased the electricity they needed from the retail company, had to purchase the green electricity they needed personally and directly from the energy exchange. to buy By removing this restriction, consumers can purchase all their electricity needs (normal or green) from retail companies at once in the form of a single contract.

The director of electricity market development and coordination with the energy exchange noted: With the establishment of the green trading board in the energy exchange, from the beginning of June to the end of October of this year, consumers above one megawatt were allowed to purchase the electricity they needed as electricity buyers in this space. During this period, more than 136 million kilowatt hours of energy produced by renewable power plants with a value of more than 350 billion Tomans have been traded on the green board of the Energy Exchange.
